Welcome! Today is the first day of our new webpage nochewfoods.com. This project has been a long time underway, and it is with both joy an excitement that we now launch the webpage.
We hope that we will reach readers out there who might find useful inspiration and information on our site.
It is all about making food for people who are not able to chew, for what ever the reason. In our family, double cooking - for chewers and for non-chewers - has been everyday life for many years. This is because, due to a physical disability, our son is not able to chew. This reality he shares with millions and millions of people around the world.
We have lots of cookbooks on our shelves. But all of the recipes in them aquire that you are able to chew. If you try to put some of it through a blender, the result becomes, well - strange. Or uneatable.
This is why we started experimenting with a type of cooking that from the onset is designed for blending. Where the blending does not destroy the food, but enhances it, making the good tastes from the stand out in the final meal.
However, it also had to be easy, since cooking is time-consuming, especially when you have to do double cooking. This is why most of our recipes can be made in one, continuous workflow, and many servings also made at the same time.
At some point, we realized that we are not alone in the world with this challenge. That many people have this everyday challenge of getting good, well tasting food, when they are not able to chew. This is the reason why we decided to share our experienes via this webpage.
We launch it today with the first handful of recipes. More will follow later. Before you start with your first recipe, please read the brief text under the menu "How to do".
